Thanks guys. I finally figured out how to post pics, so I had to try it out. Now, I'm creating my own website, so hopefully I'll be able to pull pictures right from there. Red is a great color, but it can get old quick. I'd like to have a black car, or truck, next.

Nice pic as for having a black car/truck, I lived in Valdosta a few years back and had a dark blue Buick that got hot enough to melt my inside mirror off...not sure I would do a dark color again...except for maybe a black cherry wine color and *fades off into the imaginary world of classic gassers*

Plum Crazy--Yeah, it gets kinda hot down here so black would really suck. It's bad enough with no A/C. Here's another. Kinda crappy pic, but I haven't loaded the newer ones yet. The truck will have new outside mirrors on it by Friday.

Have you considered a red with a blue pearl in it? I doubt that would get old after any length of time.

No I haven't. I haven't given much thought to paint schemes yet. In about 2-3 years I hoping to do a complete frame off restoration on it. I'll probably change my mind about 50 times between then and now. I do like really deep purple. I've though about some cars with that color, but not my truck. Thanks. John.

I had a very deep purple on my 78 El Camino...so deep that it was virtually indiscriminable from black. I would suggest a lighter more bright purple - in other words - no Porsche Purples.

Nice pickup!
