Just be aware the flywheel breaks on the 235/261 adapter.

I am acquainted with a guy who is happy with his adapter. Unfortunately I don't recall which one he has...

I see him at car shows and don't otherwise know how to reach him, but next time I see him I'll ask.

I'm currently in the process of installing the Buffalo adaptor behind a 235 -- will be mating it to a 200R4. Just in the beginning phases. Hopefully, I will be able to get the adaptor, flywheel, and starter mounted on the engine this weekend. Though I've been "planning" to do this every weekend for months now -- something always seems to come up. Will get you posted if interested.

not to throw water on your choice of trans buuuuuut on of the girls at work father runs a trans shop and i asked him about the 2004r and he suggested the 700r4 says it is a better choice and more plentiful. i have glowing reports about both and i am still undecided. good luck let us know how it goes. ron

the friction in a 700r4 wastes more hp than a 200r4.a rebuilt 200r4 will handle a 235.

Another bonus of the 200R4 is that it is the same length as a TH350 or Powerglide -- no driveshaft shortening required.
