I have searched my usual places and can't find this block casting number 6848660. The ad says Canadian full pressure 235, but I can't confirm anything about this except there is a picture of it on marketplace. The head number is 3701887 that shows as a low pressure 235. Anybody know what the block is??

Thanks

the head number 3701887 is also used on full pressure 235 engines in 1953 model years in Canada, both my GMC and Chevy trucks have that head.
the block i have under that head number is 5843350
can't help you on the 6848660 number

I have the same casting #'s as you.

https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/1264062/2.html I have a couple posts on page 2 and 3 in this thread about it.

The 1887 head is 53-55 stick motor. I don’t have anything on the block number.

It looks like 6848350 or 6843350 to me, but the first two numbers are eroded and barely legible.
