I'm restoring a 1946 1/2 ton pickup. I noticed that the hole of the spring seat (5.403) that the spring center bolt head goes into is elongated from wear. Approx 1/8 of an inch out of round. Is this wear going to cause me problems? If so, any ideas how to fix?

Probably not, if you can determine which direction it's worn, pull the axle the other way when tightening the u-bolts. You can also use it to your advantage to fine tune the wheel base side to side if it's out of square.

You can have them Revulcanized at Steel rubber. Do your spring seats look like that?

Or pound THESE into the cast spring seat housing. Same part number 3652182A as for 48-54 truck.
You should check to see if they will fit your 1946 1/2 ton pickup spring seat housings.

Group # 5.403 shows part# left 600175 & right 600176 for 1946 1/2 ton.
The 48-54 1/2 ton spring seats are the same on both sides. For some reason the 34-46 1/2 ton spring seats may be different, A picture would help.

An 8th of an inch is not much, but slop is slop.
