1937 1/2 ton. What does the door seal look like from bottom of the dash to floor? Did the top of the doors and fits and works good but the same rubber material does not seal the door on the bottom front. It's about 18" long. I have the metal strip that holds it on but does not close the gap between the door and bottom of A pillar. Thanks for any help you can give me. Bill

There is no seal that goes from the bottom of the dash to the floor that mounts to the cab, there is a seal that goes across where the rocker panel bolts on. The doors are sealed by windlace on the top of the door mounted to the cab and on the front of the door.

Bill,
I am not certain since I received my truck largely disassembled, but I did my truck as shown in the pictures. I did this based on another first class restoration of a '37 that is local I can examine. Also, my '42, which has very similar interior panels, is done this way.

The windlace is one piece around the entire perimeter of the door. In the forward area of interest, the windlace above the dash is held by the small panel that covers the A pillar. Below the dash the windlace is behind the fiberboard kick panels, all the way to the floor. I did have to trim the windlace at the dash as there is no space between the dash and A pillar to tuck it in.

Perhaps someone else can chime in who has a survivor, and knows how the factory did it.

Kent

I put the windlace on my 37 the way it was on a low 20,000 mile truck that was shown on the Jim Carters website.
