Trying to find brake shoe retaining cone springs and "J" hooks and have checked Jim Carter, The Filling Station and others but theirs fit 36-48 not 49+50, I talked to the Techs and they said the hooks would not be long enough and they do not make them. The springs and hooks were missing when I took the brakes apart so I have nothing to compare them to. The rear brakes do not even have a hole in the backing plate for them. I am trying to get the truck back on the road and trying to resolve this problem, any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

The ones that did, the hook of the retainer attached to piece of 90 degree angled metal which was spot welded to the backing plate. Sometimes those fell off at some time or other.
