Two weeks away and no chatter about the Homecoming.
Is everyone sick and Tim and I are the only two with it heavy on our minds.
You do know, some folks should not hang out together. They just lead each other into trouble.
But not Tim and I!

So, what projects will be worked on?
What seminars will be held?
Who is bringing the redheaded wig? Who is wearing it this year?
Don't forget that special brotherhood tool and be ready to use it, or buy the next round.

Follow our road trip report in the Spoon. It could get interesting.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. My excuse is that I am slowly making plans on what to bring and how to bring it. Oh and the usual, work is getting in the way of everything. So yes, it is very much on my mind and can't wait to get there.
Hey, Hambone, you were supposed to have a report for us on the ODSS campground?
The meat man is supposed to stop by the house today with some goodies.

As of right now I am bringing the '50 One Ton. It runs but will definitely need a few moments with Dr. Sweet in the OR. It wont be drivable though. Needs the entire brake system gone through. I just didn't have enough time to get it done so I didn't even start it knowing I wanted to bring it.
Maybe someone could give a brake line bending class....hint hint grin. Anyone can bend a piece of tubing but doing it correctly and not ending up with abstracted pieces of brake line that came up a half inch short of their intended destination is another thing.....who me, no never, wouldn't know anything about those twisted up pieces of tubing in the scrap bucket..... headscratch

When I load the truck on the trailer and head down 81 I'm sure it will be thinking, "who is this guy and what is he doing with me, he just trailers me up and down 81 to and from Lexington????"

I started on an oil change for the GMC last night. Need to find the correct filter today. The one in it was wrong and so was the new one I picked up.

I have brake line bending stuff and 1/4” lead wire for practice. Bring some copper nickel line and preferably stainless steel tube nuts. Also wheel cylinder and master cylinder kits. I can look up what I used in my truck if you need help finding those.

Even though there hasn't been much chatter, you know we're all thinking about it!
Earlier in the year I was thinking I could get the 41 ready in time to bring it (trailer). But as things developed, I will be pulling a trailer, but no Bolt this year - - for the first time since my initial Homecoming, many years ago.
Which is just fine! There are so many wonderful aspects to Homecoming. . . I always look forward to it!
OK, back to work on the 41!!!

I will miss it, wish I could make it. John, the other Canadian, aka panel fan, is bringing some small goodies down for me. I have some leftover donuts for Tim, they're a year or two old but should still be good. Hambone snagged one last year when he installed the exhaust on his 292. Have fun!

Currently raining here at my house. Planted most of a 5 1\2 acre field of hay and ran out of seed and chased indoors by the rain. Hope it gets the wetness out of its system now so Homecoming is dry. Clean up some trucks and load my bedrolls. I'll be ready also. Hope to be able to hook up and convoy with some of the southern folks. Has there been any discussion on when there is an estimated time of departure?

My son and I will be there with the camper on the back of the '07 Chevy... I'll bring tools and such, but not the bolt. Just too darn big n slow for the time we've got to get there n back. I'll see about a bunch of pictures tho! Any special requests from your northern neighbors.?
Willing to bring whatever I can get across the border! (That'll fit in my rig)

Trying to get the ol girl back together. Installed her nice new rebuilt head yesterday. Today cleaned up timing gear area and drilled and taped the holes for the water pump adaptor. Gasket kit just arrived. Tomorrow I’ll put the pans and covers on and paint the engine. I figured since there’s a nice hole where the transmission usually sits, I’ll take advantage of it. I can stand in there and have nice access to the gauge clusters. Pulled them out with the wiper motor and ordered all new. They should be here hopefully by Monday?? All of the other misc parts have been painted and are waiting to be bolted back on.
Slow but steady progress!

Great to hear some chatter and a little bickering going on.
TPR is landing in mid Mo. late next Wednesday.
Then we have a week to get to the Homecoming.

You guys ever see a 59 camper shell on a F-250?
Trust me, we will look like we just drove out of the Ozark Mountains.

Jim, there are two locations, the Outpost is in Lexington. The Basecamp is an hour and change away in Roseland.
