| | | | Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 357 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 357 | Hi Y'all, The MA-1 carburetor I'm rebuilding has 2 settings I'm not sure of. The setting for the ON/Off fuel. And the setting for the carburetor choke this is the off setting.

If so:
Carter made a bunch of different type WA-1 carbs; would need tag number to determine settings.
If the tag is missing, have the following at hand when you call:
(A) the carburetor
(B) wire brush
(C) straight blade screwdriver
(D) Phillips screwdriver (probably not needed, but nice to have everything if needed)
(D) pencil eraser
(E) strong light
(F) strong magnifying glass
(G) most importantly, a pair of young eyes.
Hopefully, the tag will be present, and the above list will be moot.

Your employee set me up with them. So they all three use the same kit it's a 759.

OK looking at the pictures he is using a tape measure to measure the float movement, not as a normal tape measure but the width of the tape. This tape looks like a 1/2" wide tape. So I'll set the float movement that way.
Setting the Choke spring shall be by feel.
