Boy it’s hard to get under the dashAny tips on putting in those 2 little screws in the back of the gauge? Thanks. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2017 Posts: 370 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2017 Posts: 370 | I lay a thin 24”x24” piece of plywood over my peddles up to the bench seat. Then crawl in from the passenger side looking up. If you have your tools and light staged where you can reach them it’s a breeze. Well....kinda.

I did not realize that you could replace a '49 temperature gauge without removing the whole instrument housing and taking the face off. I did not realize that the housing had a large enough opening that you could pull the gauge from the back.
