| | | | Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 36 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 36 | I have a Chevy SB 350 and installed a Edelbrock 650 CFM carb with a performance intake manifold with a slightly higher performance cam than a stock cam.
I started the engine the first time and was able to set a timing that allowed the engine to run during the break-in period (20 minutes at various rpms between idle and 2500).
What do I do now to get a good initial timing? Based on the vapor in the exhaust, it appears that I the air/fuel mixture is very fuel rich.
What suggestions do you have to set the timing for this motor? How do I go about adjusting the carb to eliminate fuel waste? Thanks!

If u dont have the instructions for the carb contact edelbrock they would probably send u a set of instructions. You may also need the adjustment kit they sell. | | |
