Have a 49-3100 with 1954 235, 16" rims--Best tire is 215-85-R16 correct? Thanks Bill

I think it depends on what look you're going for, and whether you're trying to be original. Here's a picture of mine with Goodyear Wrangler HT LT215/85R-16 tires on 16" wheels with 3-3/4" backspacing.

I just went through the tire size thing with my '51 GMC 1/2 ton. 215/85/16 are perfect in my opinion.

e9coupe ......what rims are those? I'm looking for 16" x 6 rims and caps for my stock 1954 chev 3100.
