I decided to go with new fender, as I don't have time or equipment to do the repairs right now. The old one isn't completely ruined, just a couple of small cracks and a really good bend in it. Lots of those vehicles have sheet metal that's basically just a bunch of rust molecules holding hands!

You need a hammer, welder, bondo and sand paper. This is what life was like back in the last millennium. I find that my grass yard, with slightly moist dirt under the grass, is a perfect backing for pounding out dents in big stuff. A giant shot bag.
Tried a plastic kiddie pool of sand. Didn't like it and all the neighborhood cats pooped in it.

On another note, there was a couple of fellas out and about in their old model T's today. I know it isn't a chevy, but we can all relate I think. They were just surrounded by gawkers.
