Hey guys, long time lurker but haven't posted much. I've FINALLY moved my '49 3100 to the house and started working on it.

The truck was bought new by my great grandad in 1949 and has been in the family ever since. It was restored in the early '90s by my grandad. He passed away in '97 and the truck was left in the pasture after that. Why they didn't store it in the barn or another place out of the elements is beyond me. Anyway, I took possession of the truck in high school in '07 but haven't had the time or means to restore it until recently. So off we go!

welcome to the site! Cool to have a truck with that much family history!! My wife has the 68 Mustang that her dad bought new,. I painted it for them in 83, which is how we met! I told her she had to go out with me or I woldn't give her keys back! LOL.

Lol not a bad way to score a first date! Yeah, it's definitely cool to have the family history with the truck.

I've always wanted a '66 Mustang. Don't have one in the family to inherit, but that may be next on the list once the truck is finished. chug

Welcome Matt. Hope you enjoy it. My wife is from Arkansas and I've been all over the state over the past 40+ years. AQ Chicken House still in business?

Great looking truck: 5-window cab with bright window and windshield reveals. Looks solid. Great save. Good luck!

Very cool, where at in Arkansas? Funny you ask about AQ, I was just telling the girlfriend that I need to take here there! It's still there, just hope it's as good as I remember it.
