Well this makes 4 47-53 stovebolts I I have now and the 2cd 1 ton. Am I a pig? I don’t think I qualify for full blown hoarder status I’m sure some a y’all got more junk than me. Anyways it’s a 53 gmc, not running, rust in the usual places but not bad. I have a fresh 235 I’m putting together and a 4.57 ho52 pumpkin I’ll put in it, new wire harness, also needs king pins. I’m going to transfer the entire good brake system from my other 1 ton chassis to it. I’ll probably patch some rust holes but don’t want to paint it even though the patina has progressed a little farther than I care for. The basic plan is to make it roadworthy/safe and drive it until I get one of my other rigs going and then I’ll sell it and the next owner can do cosmetics...............or not.

Great hobby you have. I'm back down to only three 47 to 53 bolts and hope to make that number a lot less in the next year. The 46 and the 57 I would like to hold on to but the 65 needs to find a new home.

It was outside. It was eBay buy from a guy in Kansas City. He had a bunch of them , he said he’d got it in Kansas. He swaps the bodies on S10 frames and puts LS motors in them and sells them for 25-30,000 with the body still in rusty shape. I won’t get started on how much I HATE that. Don’t get me wrong I’m a hot rodder at heart, albeit an old school one, not a purist. I hate to see a perfectly good chassis thrown away.
Robert It's 48 3/4 ton. I'm the third owner. Title is in my name but, there are no matching VIN numbers. Motor has been swapped out. Looks like you also like Fire Trucks!
