| | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 89 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2006 Posts: 89 | I made this simple tailgate to go on the back of the homebuilt bed I made for the 1947(2nd) 3600 I am working on. It was my wife's favorite uncle's truck. He passed in 1994 at 39, and I've had it ever since. It was full of holes, farmer patches, and guess what's - and about time to restore it. I used some of the pieces from the original bed sides to make small items (like the Chevy emblem) and pipe from his ladder rack to make the top and bottom of the tailgate.
