Just thought I'd post some before and after pictures of my project. It's been a long process.

FYI, Photobucket does not work for many of our members. Try the Stovebolt Photo program or if you really need to link use Google Images or Imgur. Everyone can see those. Thanks

Pictures for those that Photobucket doesn't work. 1955 1st Series 6500 farm truck, on 2000 Chevy 3500 frame, Iron block LS, 4L85E Transmission, vintage air, Ididit steering column, classic instrument gauges. Don't know why some are upside down?

That is awesome. I love the color contrast between exterior and interior.

The colors are C5 Corvette, Navy Blue & Camel. I thought they looked good together. Thanks

Very beautiful truck. I am thinking the original was at least a 1 1/2 Ton so it had the larger sheet metal in the front?

It was a 2 Ton, belonged to my wife's Uncle. And yes, the sheet metal in front was larger. Makes it hard if you need replacements. Thanks.

Thanks for the inspiration. I just bought a 54 with a dump bed. Not sure I'll ever get to where yours is but I hope to clean it up here and there.

Bought a 1954 6500 with dump bed, running and working. A little rough but a great/fun work truck.

Nice truck, nice work. A couple of questions: where did you put the engine/trans control electronics, do you not need the firewall to front clip brace rods, and does it run good with the rubber hose "L" on the front of the intake? We use LS engines for nearly all Chevy engine swaps and I'm always open to learn more. Thanks; Evan

Very nice, and well executed! I like that bucket/bench seat concept.
Can you clue us in on that brake system?
If it makes sense, I’d convert my old 54 hydrovac.
Thanks again for going to the trouble to share this. C

Very nice build! Did you upgrade the brakes and suspension? I have a 54 4400 flatbed with the original 5 / 10 lug wheels and i want to get rid of split rims and modernize it.
thanks Todd

Read more closely; it's on a 2000 3500 chassis.
