I have the opportunity to pick up the whole car for $2500 and am wondering what everyone thinks of this...

The motor and Tuned Injection IF in good shape is worth quitw a bit. If you don't want the rest of car and 1/2 healthy the dirt track guys are paying $500.00 or more for them.
