Can anyone show me how the horn relay was wired in? My diagram shows the horn wires connecting to the fused junction block on the firewall used for the head/tail lights.

That diagram is for a relay that was used with 1947-1955st optional dual “shell style” horns, and it was also used with 1953-55st single “shell style” standard horns.

The diagram is well labeled.

What kind/year horn do you have?
Where is your horn located?
Do you have a 6v positive ground electrical system?

Do you have the original-style “trumpet” horn, which was mounted on the intake manifold?
That horn had no relay (if I am wrong, we will soon see corrections posted).

I have two more diagrams but not sure what year they are for.

Tclederman it is the trumpet style mounted to the manifold. Was 6v positive ground but converting to 12v negative ground. I do understand that the horn will be very loud at 12v. My wiring schematic doesn't show a relay so looking for confirmation. Thanks to all!

The trumpet style horn had no relay.

Honking with 12v should be OK.

I think that people have warned to not do long honks in 12v.

I have my original 6volt horn running on 12 volts with a relay. I’m not sure exactly what a trumpet horn is (I assume it’s long and looks like a trumpet). I have the little circular domed shaped horn on mine. Quick little beep beeps and everything seems to be working just fine on my AD.
