I just picked up a new to me 250, along with it is a three speed Hoping its a Synchronized trans, if not I am happy with the find,, now is it going to be the 292 or the 250 transplanted into the 63,,Hmm

The full-synchronized Saginaw 3 speed will have 7 bolts holding the side cover on. The SM-318 non-synchro box only has 4 side cover bolts.

Thanks for the great info on the transmission ID Jerry, Hambone,, you are hired to help me make the choice, If they are both good, I guess I need to find another truck !
