Which way does the axle sit - lock pin heads to the front, or to the back? Also, I THINK the shim wedges were on with the thick end to the rear - is this correct? Thanks!

This came up on the steering stop issue with disk brake conversions

Think if you look carefully and try both ways ........the frame rails taper in .......so the spring bolts only fit one way.
So the steering stop tabs are in the rear, lock pin heads forward.

Yes, the wedge thin part forward, tipping the king pin back.
