So I blame the Stovebolt fourms! I restored a 53 Chevy truck in my 30's and then I did my 46 about 7 years ago and thought id put it out of my system. Then last week someone here connected a craigs list ad here and now I am buying a 1951 long bed 3/4 ton rolling chassis and it's all apart! You are a bad influence on a chevy truck addic. Now I'll be driving from Portland OR to the San Francisco bay area to pick it up next weekend. Oh well saving another one. I guess I'll be busy when I retire in a few years.

My Dad’s friend said the same thing to my Dad once. My Dad was mentioning to his pal how I was biting off more than I could chew, spending hard earned money on a project and would likely not finish the truck. Dad supported me in my endeavour and of course he was absolutely right on all fronts. But his friend said to him, “Leave him alone. He is learning valuable things and he isn’t spending his time and money on booze or drugs like my son.”

I wish we could save them all too. Good luck on the purchase!
