Wanting to power up my 250.Has to be a daily-driver engine,so mild is the word! Will the late 70's electronic ignition drop in? Any camshaft reports? Is the header route worth taking w/o playing with the (separate) intake.Has anyone out there found power/mileage improvement with a 2-barrel?Got a set-up you're pleased with? Let me know. Thanks Tom.

The HEI ignition for the L22 series inline 6 (194/230/250/292) will drop in any of them, even if it originally came with a points ignition. Heck, with some modifications it will drop into a Stovebolt engine. Check your local junkyards, there are quite a few cars and trucks out there with I6 engines built after '74 or '75 when they started using the HEI.
