Are the 292 truck engines and 235 engines basically the same block,or are they entirely different.Are any parts interchangable such as intake and exhaust manifolds.I am thinking about a future project and would like to use a 292.THX for any info on this subject. Dale

They don't even have the same motor mounts. The 292 is a little longer, taller and narrower. Stovebolt Engine Co (in the links) has mounts, I believe. Also there is a book by Leo Santucci on the late model Chevy Six if you want to soup it up. Available at the on-line bookstores.
