Howdy all!

Getting closer to installing my 383 stroker (dressed up to look "283") in my 59 Suburban. My question is:

A) the 2 heater hose fittings on the firewall, as one is standing looking aft, right or left, which fitting takes the hose from the intake manifold and which one takes the hose from the water pump?

B) I don't find heater maintenance data in the 58 shop manual. Would it be in the 59 supplement? Or the 59 accessory manual?

I'm using 1/2 in NPT x 3/4 nipple and 3/4 hoses on both.

Greatly appreciate all assists!

Thanks! Maddog

It really dose not mater which one goes where. Will work fine either way. I put the hose from water pump closet to fender.

The hose sizes are 5/8 in. If one tube is lower than the other, it hooks to the manifold. If it has a shutoff valve it hooks to the manifold. Some models have 3/4 hose on the return tube. If so use 3/4 nipple in the water pump.
