Problem is I only have my 216 bolts as a guide for buying the longer bolts. Are the 235/261 head bolts the same size as 216?

Buy a couple of 1/2-13 X 6" Grade 5 or 8 bolts and use flat washers to take up any excess length.
Edit: DO NOT get tempted to use all-thread rod- - - - -it's Grade 2 or softer, and it could possibly break. 235's don't bounce very well!
