Doing a quick search locally for a replacement, I found a cheap 4 speed Saginaw out of a 1958 Chevy 1 ton dump, which was mounted to a 235. Will this transmission bolt to my 216 engine? Thanks -Scott

If the 235 bell housing fits the 216, there is an adaptor that can be made to install your stock pedal set to the 235 bell. The other questions about clutch fitment and input shaft length I can't answer.

One is on a junk tranny --- water in needle bearings and the other is on a good 4 speed. I store all my parts inside. dennislbrooks@roadrunner.com
