on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 163 Jolly Roger | | Jolly Roger Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 163 | i have a 1954 235 engine in a 1951 chevy truck and the original throttle linkage i bought doesnt fit at all. the bar that the pedal presses on sticks about 5 inches through the firewall which is way too long. the bar that goes from the swivel to the carb however fits very nicely. my original idea was just to cut it, re bend it and drill a new hole for the pin. anyone have any better ideas or something im missing? lemme know!

Don't remember exactly what I did but it was a good excuse to spend some time in the shop doing some bending, cutting, welding, etc. Maybe someone has some other suggestions. Do you have the motor's original linkage, which maybe be too long? Cut and ZAP ZAP!!
