25,900 one made that year (?)
This look correct? What came off the tag, I know is correct, it's my interpretation of that code I question.
Looks like a bunch of this size truck made that year?

P 53 S 02691
P = 1.5 ton 4400
53 = 1953
S = St Louis, MO assembly plant
026901 = 26901-1000 = 25901th truck (all sizes) out of that plant in 1953
In 1953, the serial number sequence was for all trucks assembled.

My 51 3100 has 4484 on it's plate, made in December of 51 in St. Louis.
