My 58 Chevy Panel Truck dash is missing holes. There is no hole for the ignition switch ( currently using an 80's column with ign). Also NO pre prepped area for a heater control panel. I'm wondering if this a very early REPOP that had few options? Im repalcing with a nice aftermarket column,so gotta drill me a new hole. Also.....according to LMCTrucks.com the hole next to headlight switch is for choke. But the one to the furthest right is for "throttle." What the heck are they talking about??? | | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 104 Jack of all trades and a Master of None! | | Jack of all trades and a Master of None! On right of column you have ignition switch. You have three holes over the radio area. From left to right they are wiper, lighter, throttle. (that thar would be your "far right throttle"). Economy heater is a knob on a delete plate. Deluxe is levers on a control station in the dash. As said, on something like this, we would like to see pictures for future reference. Even a 58-59 GMC Fleet Option had all the holes.

It adjusts something on oem eng throttles???? | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 Sir Searchalot | | Sir Searchalot Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 | I'm guessing "kustom Kid" was playing around (tilt/key column). A repop dash would have an Ignition hole.
Yes, it allows for hand throttle from inside for lots of reasons we would never use. PTO, 4X4, uphill from a stop...for jitter foot Harry, etc. I would not bother with a hand throttle. Put a fake knob, use it for something else, map light/charger/security start switch or fill with a delete plug.
