How hard is it to remove the gauge cluster in a 1947 (3100) pickup or can I work on each unit in the cluster separately without removing the whole cluster of gauges. I want to get to the gas gauge. There doesn't seem to be much room behind the dash to do anything. Thanks

There are4 nuts holding in each cluster, I am thinking 8/32. When you go through the headache to remove them, replace the nuts with thumb nuts. It is much easier to reattach the gauges or remove again as I had to. Received the hot info from a gracious member here!

If your truck is 2nd series:
You cannot get to the fuel gauge without removing the cluster from the truck

Then you have to remove the amp and temp gauge first before the fuel gauge will come out

If your truck is not second series disreguared everything I posted
