I have bled as the manual says. If i clamp off the rear flexi pipeiget a stiff pedal so I am guessing the problem is at the rear.I have adjusted the shoes and bled the cylinders but still no pedal.Although there are two brake cylinders per wheel station only one of the cylinders has a bleed nipple could there be trapped air if so how can i fix the problem. many thanks for reading. Howard

Pressure BleedingDid you use a pressure bleeder? Did you bleed in the described order - wheel order, and cylinder order, and then, hydrovac? | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy Howardwade, this may sound like a silly question but, on your rear brake cylinders are the bleed screws in the uppermost port of the upper wheel cylinder? | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 Crusing in the Passing Lane | | Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | Seem like my book says hydrovac first?

I think the system in question in this post is 1952 (the manual that I linked-to earlier). Actually, there is a 1952 "addenda" to that manual: I'll try to remember to check it out tomorrow. Double check the procedure in the manual. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2017 Posts: 32 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2017 Posts: 32 | Hello chaps. I have bled as the manual says. Hydrovac first then cylinders. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2018 Posts: 44 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2018 Posts: 44 | There is an online 1951 1.5 and 2 Ton Brake Service Manual that has helpful pictures. But that method uses a pressure bleeder tank tool.

I have clamped the year flexi andyou can get a pedal. Sothe fault is at the rear end. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,218 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,218 | Does your Hydrovac work? Are you pressure bleeding the system? Do you get a hard pedal when you clamp both fronts? Have you ever had the brakes "work good"? What's new in the system (MC, Wheel Cylinders, Hydrovac etc.)? Mike B | | |
