So having trouble with my 41, it’s got a 235 with a 216 type bell housing and 4 speed transmission. Today I was driving and I all the sudden couldn’t get it to come outta gear even while the clutch was in or anything so got it the emergency lane and managed to get in neutral and then it wouldn’t go in any gear.

After that I turned off and with the truck off and it went into all the gears fine with the truck off so put it in forth and drove it home in forth the whole way. Shut it off put it in first to pull it in and started it and pushed the clutch and the clutch didn’t disengage it it wanted to keep going.

Clutch adjustment is already as back as it can go, it’s been fine all year and haven’t changed anything... anyone know what’s going on?

Could be your pressure plate has broken. It isn't uncommon. With the truck not running, get underneath and remove the clutch cover. Have your wife or somebody press in on the clutch while you look up in there with good light. You should see the pressure plate move rearward evenly and separate cleanly from your clutch disk. If you use a screwdriver, you should be able to move the clutch disk at that point. You probably will have to use a remote starter (ignition off) to turn the engine over (put it in neutral) to see the whole circle. If your pressure plate has broken, some part of the circle will not release and I believe this is what is causing your problem.

Once you have the pressure plate out, lay it on a table and if you see some of the fingers sitting lower than the others, you know that pressure plate is gone.
