I know there are different models of Fulton sun visors (ie. split windshield and curved windshield). Is there a way to tell what model I have? The one I have is for a split windshield.

Best way to get help is to post a pic or two. Short of that, tell us if the end brackets have 3 or 4 screws? I might can get you in the ballpark with that bit of info.

You most likely have the model 700 Fulton visor. If so, your dog bones should be relatively flat on one side, resembling a “B”, as opposed to being curved on both sides resembling a figure 8.

If you look very carefully, in the centre section, there should be a model number pressed into the aluminum. I agree, it's likely a 700.

My number was very faint. Clean it well and use good light.

Suggestion.......... shine a flashlight from the side at an angle towards the middle section, then put your eyes at the level of the visor and kook for the faint imprint 1953 panel told you about.

Is your visor apart or installed? The number will not be visible if it is installed. It is on the inside.

I was thinking the same. My visor is not installed, but it is assembled.

I took my Fulton sun visor apart. I did not find a mode number, but I did find "insert red end here" and "Insert yellow end here" on the visor. These markings are clearly visible. No other markings are evident. The paint on this sun visor seems to be the original Fulton paint.

Did your metal rod still have red and yellow paint on the ends?

I did not take it that far apart. I could easily take it further apart tomorrow.

If you take it apart you might get lucky and find the model number. Sometimes when it’s assembled it covers up the lightly imprinted number. Good luck.

If you still need to paint your visor, you might consider painting the underside using a flat finish. It's supposed to reduce glare.

I took my Fulton sun visor apart again and cleaned it up. I'm still not able to see any model number. The red and yellow paint is still visible on the ends of the rods that connect the visor together.

The red and yellow paint are only there to help with assembly. Without a picture I still think you have a model 700 based on your description.
