Could someone recomend a good quality harness for a generator setup. I've seen prices from 100 to 500+. I would probably get the smallest, 8 circuit I believe. Thanks

It’s just too easy to pay for a wiring harness. I’ve got $80 in mine. I used wire with the correct tracer color. Was easier than installing the headliner. 😜

I want to re-wire my '58 as well but the amount of money for a harness seems insane, especially considering shipping, duty and $CAD to $USD conversion.

It did take a lot longer than I anticipated. Kits are much easier and faster than trying to build a harness yourself.

I spent about $300 to get all the sizes and colors I wanted, but only used about 25% of it. When I looked at it, the off the shelf harnesses were the way to go if you only wanted to do one vehicle.
If you do other work or want to mod the harness for whatever reason, getting raw wire and doing it yourself is not hard and lets you customize to your heart's content. | | |
