The horns are shot. I like the sound of the earlier 12 volt horns. I would think that a 50's 12 volt should work being 12 volt is 12volt. Is my assumption correct.
I do not want to spend money only to find out that they will not work. Just make sure your harness can handle it during "Road Rage" or when you are driving behind my very close relative (Wife). LOL My 55 horn has aprox #14 wire on it, haven't looked at the newer vehicles for that. If you have a smaller wire feeding your horn and you use it a lot , you may need a bigger feed wire to keep it from melting. But for the short "toot toot" i would use it for, probably wouldn't bother it. Just my opinion, not necessarily fact, I've never done it. Though it does sound like a good idea.
