Hello all. I'm having a little trouble finding a steel distributor gear for my 49 gmc with the 228 motor. I believe its the original delco distr. I've searched most all the usual vendors. Would any one out there have either a part# or know of another gear which would work for me? Thanks much. John.

Have you tried other GM cars like Chevy and Pontiac?

I believe the GMC & Chevy engines used the same STEEL

distributor gear . This gear is only used on steel camshafts .
