In those years they did not list G.V.W. only Capacity, in your trucks case capacity was listed as two tons. If you come up to 1951 when G.V.W. started to be listed, a truck very similar to yours had a G.V.W. of 14,500 lbs., hope that helps. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 6 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 6 | hi 3B, thanks. maybe its not a Canadian truck then? or maybe the info I got on the tag is incorrect? but sorry I cant remember where on the internet I found that info, but from memory the xh was 42 year and ms was160" wheelbase, which it is . thanks | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | | | | | | Joined: Aug 2017 Posts: 55 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2017 Posts: 55 | I could never find the GVW on my 1942 1.5 ton either...sorry couldnt help you | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy crc, I found an American 1941 truck data book, the G.V.W.s range from 11,500 lbs. to 14,000 lbs., depending on springs and tires used, hope that helps. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 68 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 68 | Hi CRC I have a 1 1/2 ton chev R/H drive that was brought to Australia durin ww11 as part of the lend lease program and was sold after the war finnished.
