I have a chance to pick up a better radiator for my pickup. The seller claims that it will fit a 1947 to 1953. Would it fit my 1955 Chevrolet first series 3100 pickup with the standard 235 engine?? If not, can anyone tell me what is different? Thank you.

That radiator will fit you 55.1 truck. The difference between the 47-53 trucks and your truck's front end is cosmetic.

The radiator support/mount frame changed slightly in 1954/55st (for change in horn/horns locations).

I trust the info above regarding the radiator-mounting size/geometry not changing during that time.

However, the 1954 radiator supposedly had a "larger cooling capacity", most likely due to a larger radiator core and "exposed-area"?
