I Have what I think is a 2nd series 1955 big window cab on a one ton chassis. I'm 99% sure it has original paint. Checking the books I come up with several different combination. One book says that some colors are carry overs from 1953 and 1954. According to my printed out page it looks lighter than Autumn Brown but a little darker than Coppertone. To me it looks like Rootbeer not really metallic but looks very close. Nothing on the cab that I can find to
identify paint code. Any help would be appreciated. Bob

Bob,

Here is an album of 55-62 Dupont paint chips/codes. I think the 55 sheets are for 55-1st series. However, compare the 55 colors with the 56 colors, to see if there are color changes.

Thanks Tim & Greg

Tim The Dupont chip code was way better than mine
couldn't even read the numbers on mine. Still can't tell what color I have. I also took Gregs
advice and checked the R-M site and found mention
of Russet Brown, but couldn't actually see the color. I'll research it more tomorrow that might be my color. Many thanks to both of you. Bob

I actually have the paint chip sheet but don't really know how accurately they would scan. I guess I could take them to work with me and find out.

Here are the paint chips. I have the back side of the sheet scanned also with the paint codes and their applications but when I tried to upload to webshots, they were having a technical difficulty.
