Progress slow the last week as it's been scorching. Spending my days doing parts search as I needed to replace at least one spindle and knuckle. Been reading everything I can on axel bore check and bores in knuckle. Having known nothing when I started I've learned a lot about when you need oversize kingpins . My axel bores look good light rust no grooves in bores or egg shaped. I push and tapped in with my palm standard king pins about half way..tight no movement. Glad to see that as it seems she was ridden hard before parked 40 years ago. Here's a pic of my amateur job on axel and kingpins. I know I probably going to hafta sand top bore where paint is for proper shimming. Any other advice would be helpful. Not sure I'm gonna ream bushings myself im not that confident yet.axel bores and kingpin fit.
