A couple bolts I tried didn’t seem to snug up well and wanted to check here before I damage anything. I’m sure the threads are just full of years of crud.

Also, be sure the jackscrew on the puller is small enough to pass through the hole in the balancer and actually bear against the front of the crankshaft snout. If the end of the jackscrew is bigger than 3/4" in diameter it will probably jam against the balancer hub without pushing on the crank. Jerry

It covers the groove left by thousands of miles of the front seal rubbing on the balancer hub, the one that chews up a new seal and causes oil leaks. The other option is to buy a new balancer. Jerry
