Hi guys , I have a burning issue (couldn't resist the pun) I'm buying in a 1970 GMC T 6500 (tilt cab)ex fire truck .I can't find a vin decoder for it , also does anybody know how much it weights as just a cab and chassis no FT body
the vin is T60VZ146281

The years of '60 to '72 Heavy GMC Truck VIN's are the hardest to find online for some reason. But the VIN won't tell you the weight of the truck anyway. It should tell you the GVW range though. A picture would be interesting. I tried to get the one you posted to work, but had no luck.

Drive to a rock yard, materials yard, salvage yard, scrap metal yard, MVD station and use their scale.

Hi Bill I got it to work . The weight is not just what I'm looking for just want to see what the vin says bartamos thanks for the idea will do that when I get it back here .

'37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires.
'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

T60VZ146281 T=Tilt Cab, 6=19,000-45,000 GVW, 0=1970, V=V6 Detroit Diesel, Z= Made in Fremont, 146281=46,281 made. Most of this is just guessing from looking at different vin search websites. Is it diesel?
