My 1964 Chevy P10 Stepvan is coming along but I'm still not on the road yet.
Haven't been online in a while and I saw I missed the darn homecoming. Have to make the next one.
I have some vintage 1964 Virginia license plates. I am planning on using those to put on the 1964 P10 Stepvan. They have a little rust on them.
Anybody else using vintage plates? and did you know if the virginia DMV is going to hassle me if the plates have some rust on them?
Project blog attached with photos for anyone interested.

Hey 64 P10-lots of work going on with your van.
I have year specific plates on several of my vehicles and have never had an issue at the DMV. In that space on the registration form where it says "type of plate" , or something like that, you put your plate number. Bring the plate with you to the DMV. Don't know how you do it if you just register on line.
Good luck with your project.

Thanks for the response.
Went to DMV today and got the registration with the 1964 Virginia plates. As I mentioned, there was a little rust on my plates but they didn't have a problem with it after looking at the plates.
Hoping to get the carb adjusted and get it running good enough to go for a spin this weekend.
Would be nice if the sun came out!

Hopefully we see you on the road. I will be out test driving my newly rebuilt steering box. As long as NOVA doesn’t flood that is! Have a nice drive and may the Stovebolt gods smile upon your ride!
