I can't afford a new grill, so decided to fab my own. An Amish neighbor and I put this together fairly quick. It's not COMPLETELY done, but getting close. I know that some of you "originality" guys will hate it, but wanted opinions anyway! Not sure how to post photos, so hope this works! It is light weight, has even grain and is extremely rot resistant, and with skill, can be whittled to match the shape of an original steel one.

I still have a few things to do on the grill...and....I still have a LOT to do on the truck before I can install it - the least of which is new (or BETTER) fenders first. The ones I have are rusted out in the back (where the running boards attach), and there are "farmer patches" around the wheel wells, along with LOTS of bondo in them... Anyone got a set for sale? '47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.
