It lays flat on the inside of the truck, the top on the outside and some of the sides on the outside. The entire top on the outside peals away from the windshield. The bottom corners on the outside are also pealed away from the windshield on the outside. My only guess so far is that the chrome trim is bent and bending the gasket out of shape. I'm considering replacing the gasket with a standard gasket with no trim if it will solve the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? [img]http://i.imgur.com/73taolG.jpg[/img]

The reflection of my garage rafters makes it look brown and it blends in with the truck.

Always use plastic. As far as your windshield rubber, I wrote a tip about 55-59 Trucks. You may want to read the part about taping rubber to windshield and leave in a sunny or warm room for a few weeks before install to "train" the rubber first.

As far as your windshield rubber, I wrote a tip about 55-59 Trucks. You may want to read the part about taping rubber to windshield and leave in a sunny or warm room for a few weeks before install to "train" the rubber first. The little pry bar was just to help show the gap. It sat with the gasket installed for a few days. No tape though. If I can get the windshield out with out ruining the gasket ill try and tape it.
