I have changed everything out but it seems that the wheel doesn't want to fit very well. I used the original spare tire from my 1958 that was mounted underneath the truck. Is there a difference in the brackets or fenders? Thanks for any help.

The forward stand-off is the same as on the picture that Red58 posted. On my mount, the forward-most connection on the top of the bed rail is 9-1/2" from the front of the bed stake pocket. The forward angle is approximately 9" from the front of the bed stake pocket. The triangular mounting face (that has the studs attached to it) is 13" from the bottom of the tire cut-out, when measured in a vertical line from the bottom edge of the mounting face. All of this info is based on my short bed mount. I can email you the file that contains dimension details. PM me the email address you'd like it sent to, if you want it. It has less than 1000 miles on it since the day it was built, and is stunning in every way. It is owned by Stovebolter Steve Taylor. You can see more pictures in his photo gallery. Wear seat belts, because you might fall out of your chair.  I don't remember seeing the mount offered as a reproduction, but it isn't all that complicated to make. I've put together a package of pictures that show dimensions of each of the components in the mount, how they fit together, and how it mounts to a short bed. It might grace the tech tips pages someday. In the meantime, PM me with an email address if you'd like for me to send it to you. It is in PowerPoint.
