Have a 1954 3/4 ton Chevy Pick-up.
Anyone know where I can get front brake shoes? They are different than the 1/2 ton.

Was told by Fillingstation.com they are not made for the 3/4 and suggested I get mine relined?? Which is quite expensive.

I need to do a full replacement on my 55.1 3600. So, I've done some shopping. But, I haven't bought anything, yet. I found OReilly & Advance both show 11" shoes for front & rear. AutoZone shows rear only. Drums are available, too.

Are they 12" or 14" front/rear?

11" front/rear was 3100.

I purchased brake shoes for my 49 3600 from Northwestern Auto Supply in Grand Rapids, Mi. 800-704-1078. They have an amazing inventory of vintage parts. DaveV

Allen,

AutoZone shows 12"x2" shoes and drums. They list only rear. But, I believe they are the same for front and rear. Maybe, someone hear can confirm/deny that.

I tried to copy/paste the link. But, the link only takes you to the main page. Select your vehicle. Then search brakes.

They may even be in stock locally.

Hope this helps.

Jeffry

Doesn't look to me like the Autozone drums would work. Has anyone tried the Rockauto drums?
