I Have a 1947 3/4 ton that still has the lever shocks. I want to upgrade to modern shocks. Anyone use the kits from JCarter or others? Also, anyone have a photo of hoe the rear mounting brackets attach to the axle/frame? Thanks!
The upper brackets are identical front to rear. The rear's mount with bolts in only 3 of the 4 holes in the bracket. The lower mount is part of the spring mount u-bolt plate.

Kevin 1951 Chevy 3100 work truck Follow this saga in Project Journal Photos 1929 Ford pickup restored from the ground up. | 1929 Ford Special Coupe (First car) Busting rust since the mid-60's If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.
Great photos, just ordered my upgrade from Classic Parts! Like Kevin stated the upper brackets front and rear are the same. Classic parts shocks are Monroe's!!
