| | | | Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,644 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,644 | The Pete swap meet at Texas motor Speedway starts today and goes through Sunday. I plan to take a vacation day and go drive out really early Friday morning and come back Saturday night. I sure hope the weather is good this weekend because it’s been cold and windy the last two weekends, and I sure hope it doesn’t rain! This is always my favorite swap meet of the year, and because I didn’t get to attend last year I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll report back what treasures I find this year.

I had to miss it last year, so I was really excited about getting to go this year. I found several treasures. The two most important were a near perfect 47-53 tailgate, and an original 800 Fulton sun visor. Gave $175 for the tailgate and $175 for the Fulton. I was happy!! I also found two Rochester B’s that were complete, and still had the brass tags. $35 for both. Oh, and I bought 3 working Penske automotive analyzers complete with cables from an 82 year old gentleman for $20. Several other items found their way into my red wagon. I enjoyed my day off from work Friday and went back for another good day on Saturday. The weather was nice...... pleasant temperatures and a strong breeze both days.
