I have a question about the front chrome windshield trim on a 51 chevy 3100. It is the factory 2 piece windshield but does not have the trim. I would like to know if I want to add the trim does the windshield have to come out to add the trim. Thanks for your help.

** The windshield will have to be removed as the rubber seal for the stainless trim is not the same as the one without the trim. **

We guess you are talking about the exterior trim.

The trim also needs to be inserted in the rubber before installation. If you purchase reproduction trim or a low quality rubber product prepare for some issues on the install. The topic has been discussed many times here and is worth a search.
